(Prof Maria Chester)
Wednesday 22nd November 2017 10 -12 noon at the Henry Travers Studio, The Maltings, Berwick
Humans have been making their mark since the days of the earliest cave dwellers. How did we get from there to the profusion of mark making of every kind displayed in the work of modern artists? Join Professor Chester for a whistle -stop tour of the history of drawing, from cave art to the graffiti art of the enigmatic Banksy, in the first half of her lecture.
The second half of the lecture will look in detail at some of the inspirational life drawings on display in the exhibition
