Fordyce MaxwellFordyce Maxwell is the oldest of a family of nine from Cramond Hill farm, Cornhill on Tweed. Educated Cornhill primary, Berwick Grammar, Harper Adams agricultural college. A journalist since 1967, much of that time with The Scotsman, Edinburgh, as agricultural and rural affairs editor, columnist, diarist, Parliamentary sketch writer, feature writer, leader writer and book reviewer. Freelanced for many other newspapers and magazines including 30 years as Halidon of the Berwick Advertiser. Farmed at Cramond Hill with two brothers 1977-89. Won a number of journalistic awards plus MBE for services to journalism, lifetime achievement award from the Association of Scottish Newspaper Editors..
