Dr. Tony Barrow

Tony BarrowTony Barrow has an M.Ed. from Newcastle University and did his Ph.D. (on the whaling trade) at Northumbria University. He was Head of History and Archaeology at Newcastle College, Associate Lecturer of the Open University and Visiting Lecturer of the University of Sunderland. He is regularly consulted on a wide variety of subjects to do with the maritime history of N.E. England and still reviews for several academic journals. His publications include:

The Whaling Trade of N.E. England 1750-1850 (2001);
